James has been supporting the Positive regard team for over 4 years, while based in an SEMH Special school working as a Care Team Leader he began to build his specialist knowledge around Behaviour, and Mental Health. As a Trauma informed practitioner, Mental Health First Aider and an Advanced Team Teach instructor James works passionately to make sure that all minds are supported no matter what the age. 

James started his career working in further education working alongside learners who needed extra support to access college before moving to the local SEMH school, James spent several years developing and leading the outdoor education team and offer across both the alternative provision an the special school before stepping into the SEMH school to support a KS3 class for a number of years. He then made the leap to Leeds from Barnsley and joined the Care Team in the SEMH school in Leeds, shortly after this he became a Care Team Leader, looking after the schools day to day “shop floor”. James now supports positive regard working across the north of the country working with settings big and small to make sure all service users are getting the offer they deserve.
