I have twelve years’ experience of working in a SEN educational setting with children and young adults with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, SEND and SEMH Needs. I qualified as an Early Childhood Studies teacher in the year 2014 from Sheffield Hallam University having previously completed a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood Studies at Huddersfield University. I began my career as a specialist teacher in Early Years. I realised that special educational needs would be my chosen field in education that I wanted to dedicate my career and I have always been passionate about making a difference that impacted on ‘changing lives’ rather than purely academic outcomes.
