Amy began her career in mainstream primary settings, before working within specialist settings for both care and education. Amy has also worked within a National Autistic Society setting and at Wellspring alternative provisions in Lincolnshire.
Prior to her current role, Amy returned to work within the independent sector, as a Senior Leader for behaviour in an SEMH setting, keeping her connection with Wellspring and becoming a Positive Regard Specialist Leader, during this time.
Amy has developed her skills, over her 12 year career, and found a passion for supporting some of the most vulnerable children with a range of additional needs to access quality education. Amy has enjoyed leading teams to advocate for these children and supporting the teams with their own professional development.
Amy has vast experience supporting children & young people who display challenging behaviour due to social, emotional and mental health needs, using a relational based approach. Amy champions the importance of building relationships with others through a friendly, supportive & cohesive approach to ensure positive outcomes. Amy is enthusiastic about delivering direct classroom support, as well as training and consultancy within the trust and across the country to ensure positive outcomes.
