Positive Regard Leader Programme
Programme Overview
This two day training course aims to develop skilled Positive Regard Leaders that can support and influence the relational culture in their setting; confidently implement and model relational practice and support the development of others through training. On completion, delegates will be able to deliver the Practitioner Programme within their setting.
Course content:
Day 1 –
- Theory: Approach, personal values and Unconditional Positive Regard
- Theory: Understanding the effects of trauma on the developing brain
- Theory: Regulate, the effects of stress and understanding sensory regulation
- Theory: Relate, translating behaviour and understanding language and communication
- Theory: Reason, restoration, repair and rebuilding relationships.
Day 2 – Leading Behaviour and Culture
- Theory: Relational, human first leadership
- Theory: Developing and implementing strategies for trauma informed, attachment aware practice.
- Systems and processes for behaviour and culture
- Planning for behaviour, creating risk assessments and support plans
- Implementing the right policies and infrastructure for relational practice
- Using data to measure impact
Audience:
This training is open to anyone working with children who has an interest in developing and guiding others through expert training delivery within their setting.
