Positive Regard Specialist Leader

MEd Psychology of Education, 6 years experience in specialist roles within SEND, management, managing support for complex behaviour, post graduate research has focused heavily on attachment, Autism and current issues in SEND.

I have 6 years experience working in specialised roles within SEND, with a specific interest in SEMH and communication and interaction needs. I currently undertake strategic leadership of the SEMH intervention process across the schools within The Laurus Trust, where I work collaboratively with teachers, SEND and pastoral leads to ensure the most effective support is being provided for our vulnerable students with SEMH needs. My postgraduate research has deepened my understanding around the implications of disrupted childhood development, and I have a specialist interest in improving the school lives for trauma-experienced children.
