My name is Helen Webb and I am a Pupil and Family Support manager at a mainstream primary school in Burnley. My career journey started in a nursery setting, onto a primary setting as a TA; during this time I had my daughter and completed a degree in Education. I also had my son and then shortly after I moved on to becoming a Pupil and Family Support Lead where I am now, then I became a manager. My role is what it says on the tin… supporting pupils and their families. I have been given so many opportunities to be able to support children emotionally through ELSA, Drawing and Talking therapy, Lego Therapy, counselling, Relax Kids which are carried out within groups or 1:1. I also supported my school through their journey of becoming a Gold Award Attachment and Trauma Sensitive school which enables us to be able to support our most vulnerable children but also during the most recent of traumas that all of us are facing during this pandemic. Well being, like most, is the priority in our school. Well being leads to well doing. I am also a Solihull approach trainer enabling me to support families further.
